Event description

Description

CIDNY and the FHJC will be hosting a series of fair housing presentations focused on the
rights of persons with disabilities. These presentations will educate landlords,
management companies, co-op and condominium management companies and boards
about their rights and responsibilities under the Fair Housing laws, particularly in regards
to requests for resonable accommodations and modifications for people with disabilities.
Advocates and people with disabilities are encouraged to attend as well for information
on the protections afforded by the Fair Housing laws.

Speakers will include:
Caitlin Cubbon, Educational Coordinator of the FHJC
Lourdes Rosa-Carrasquillo, Director of Advocacy CIDNY
Additional speakers to be announced

Please RSVP to the September 27th today to reserve your seat!

We are hosting an additional session of the same training on September 15th in Long Island City -- if you would prefer to attend that training instead you can RSVP at http://bit.ly/2tuLa86

FAQs

Will there be accommodations provided for persons with disabilities?

The facilities are accessible and in compliance with the ADA. This is an equal opportunity event, if you require an accommodation to access this training session (ASL interpretation, hearing or vision impairment, etc.) please email ccubbon@fairhousingjustice.org

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not need to bring a copy of your ticket, your name will be on a list and we will check you in as you arrive. It is a good idea to bring some form of ID as there may be some security at the building.
