About this event

Access Family Programs (Children ages 5-17)

The Intrepid Museum offers programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and can participate in activities that everyone can enjoy.

Heroes and Superheroes

Superheroes are not just in the comics—they are also in our communities! Learn about the real-life heroes of Intrepid and their superhero connections.

Check-in begins at 10:30am. Please arrive before 11:00am in order to participate in the full program.

Looking for a program for older visitors? This program will be offered again from 2:00 to 4:00pm for teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families. Register for the teen and adult program here.

What are the Museum's health and safety protocols and requirements?

The health and safety of our visitors is our top priority. Visit for up-to-date information on the Museum's health and safety guidelines.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Please visit for directions. There is no parking at the Museum. Please visit for more information about local parking options.

Do you have programs for adults with developmental disabilities?

Yes! Access Family Programs for teens and adults with developmental disabilities and their families are offered on the same day as the children's program, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Registration is required. Please visit for the registration link.

Do you still offer virtual Access Family Programs?

Yes! In 2022, Access Family Programs alternate each month between virtual and in-person programs. Virtual programs take place over Zoom and include at-home activity packets. In-person programs take place at the Museum, with a morning session for children and an afternoon session for teens and adults. For a full list of upcoming programs, please visit

How can I contact the organizer with any questions?

Please email or call 646-381-5158.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No, but if you can bring a paper or digital copy of your ticket it expedites the check-in process!
