Event description

Description

The Intrepid Museum offers monthly programs for children (ages 5-17) with learning and developmental disabilities and their families. These two-hour programs take place on select Sundays during regular Museum hours. Families take a guided, interactive tour of the Museum and participate in art-making activities that everyone can enjoy.

Astronauts Aboard Intrepid & Enterprise

The aircraft carrier Intrepid and space shuttle Enterprise each carried astronauts, but for very different reasons! Visit the Space Shuttle Pavilion and learn about what it takes to travel to and from space.

Access Programs at the Intrepid Museum are generously supported by the FAR Fund, the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation, the Joseph LeRoy and Ann C. Warner Fund, the Barker Welfare Foundation and the Frank J. Antun Foundation. This program is supported, in part, by Public Funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the City Council.
