Connect your organization’s new leaders — send them through Leadership Springfield’s immersive community experience! Our two-day Access Class offers immediate connection to a network of local leaders through an inside look into the Springfield metropolitan area.

Who Should Attend? Mid to high level & licensed professionals new to the area or those seeking expanded professional connections

Pricing: Classes are limited to 60 participants. Typical class size is between 25-50. Acceptance is based on date of application and receipt of the registration fee. The cost of the two-day Access Class is $500 per person, which covers the cost of all materials, transportation, meals, speakers and venues.

Access Class Agenda:


7:30am: Welcome & Breakfast at Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce

8am-Noon: Sessions, Speakers & Traveling Tours of area businesses and industries

  • Opening Session with Carrie Richardson (Leadership Springfield)
  • Snapsnot of Springfield
  • Civic Engagement

12pm: Intergenerational Poverty in Missouri - Springfield Policy Lunch with Emily Stahly, Analyst, Show-Me Institute at The Frisco Building

1-5pm: Sessions, Speakers & Traveling Tours of area businesses and industries

  • Workforce Development and Higher Education
  • Live, Work, Play Local

5:30 -7:30pm: Family Reception - Invite your family and join us for a private VIB Bowling reception at Andy B's! Get to know other local families and enjoy dinner and bowling on us at a local favorite. Cash bar will be available.


7:30am: Meet at Oasis Hotel and Convention Center. Board bus for City Utilities.

7:45am: Breakfast & Debrief at City Utilities

8am-Noon: Sessions, Speakers & Traveling Tours of area businesses and industries
