About this event

On Saturday March 9th, Shell will be hosting a series of events at Austin’s South by Southwest Festival to showcase ways in which startups, technology accelerators, research organizations and energy companies can work together to impact the energy future. All are invited to join us, but badge holders will receive priority entry. 


The Walmart Tech Lab is located approximately four blocks from the Austin Convention Center and is home base for Shell’s technology leaders and the most innovative thinkers during Austin’s biggest interactive conference and festival.

The way all of us get from Point A to Point B is changing rapidly – and hydrogen could be an important low-carbon transport fuel in the future. Join us as we explore the future of mobility.

 Fireside Chat: Accelerating Hydrogen into the Mainstream

A discussion on the future of mobility, the role hydrogen might play, and how startups and incubators are changing the game.

Enhanced Mobility: Present & Win

Are you a start-up working in the mobility space? Austin-based or planning to be at SXSW? We’re looking for new ideas in hydrogen innovation, future vehicle technologies, connected car solutions, smart solutions for intelligent fleets, and more. Come and present to our team!

Apply to pitch to our team from Shell, Toyota, and TechStars. 5 minute pitch + 5 minutes Q&A per startup. In addition to the attention of these great organizations (and a networking lunch to follow), the winner will walk out the door with $2500 and a day’s worth of 4 GA tickets to the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix (in Austin October 2019).
