There is an increasing need for integrated digital care to meet modern health demand.

FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) is an international standard for exchanging electronic health information and is the glue that will connect our future health systems.

Much research and innovation is needed to drive the development, adoption and use of FHIR to help achieve the goal of interoperable health systems.

Grahame Grieve the inventor of FHIR from Australia will lead this research and community workshop, organized by the Innovation Value Institute at Maynooth University with support from the Irish Department of Health and OpenPlanIT Ireland to make progress on this critically important topic.
