About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • Ages 18+

The Department of Energy Security and Net Zero (DESNZ) of the United Kingdom is pleased to partner with the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (MDIC), and the Brazilian Ministry of Mines and Energy on its efforts to develop a country platform.

The Industrial Decarbonisation and Hydrogen Hubs are supporting the mobilisation, coordination and aggregation of international finance, investment, and technical assistance, behind Brazil's Net Zero ambitions.

This event will be hosted during London Climate Action Week (LCAW) to showcase how these Hubs are contributing to the development of a pipeline of investable, high-impact projects aligned with Brazil’s net zero policies. These projects will feed into the Brazil Investment Platform (BIP) — a key mechanism designed to unlock climate finance at scale.

The event will demonstrate how strategic cooperation and robust institutional partnerships are creating the enabling environment needed to leverage international and domestic finance to accelerate industrial decarbonisation and the clean hydrogen economy in Brazil.

Objectives

1. To present progress on the Hydrogen and Industry Decarbonisation Hubs.

2. To highlight how these Hubs are working with the Brazil Investment Platform (BIP).

3. To showcase key deliverables of both Hubs expected until COP30 in Belem.
