Part 2 | Setup Streaming Software

In this session, you’ll learn how to start to stream on Twitch.tv.

Now that you know what Twitch is used for, and have a channel of your own, it’s time to get ready for your first stream! IIn this session you’ll set up Streamlabs OBS, the software we recommend using. This will include installing a free theme, turning on and displaying alerts, as well as adding a Chatbot to your stream to help with some repetitive work.

What you need:

• Streamlabs OBS downloaded and installed (free)
• A laptop or computer
• A webcam (built-in or external is fine) (optional)
• A microphone (headset or USB connected is fine) (optional)
• We recommend joining in from a computer/laptop, but a tablet or phone will also work.
• Make sure you have a strong internet connection.
• Install Zoom - If you haven’t used Zoom before, check out this link to learn how to join the call.
• Pen & paper for notes.
