The School of Architecture is addressing city development and growth as both a global and local phenomenon. The theme of Future Cities will be addressed in the dialogue initiated by the public lecture and continued in the presentation of student work examining the political, technological and environmental implications in the urban condition. Thesis projects seek to reconcile how the infrastructure of our cities can be harnessed to provide new urban situations that respond to the patterns of climate change, water distribution, inequality, housing, cultural tension, revitalization of ecological conditions and enhancement of the healthcare networks. Collaborative studio projects incorporate the rapid technological advances which affect both spatial and multi-sensory experience.
