Prerequisite: Experience with embroidery and wet felt making helpful but not required.

Description:Perfect next step in artistic felt making. Learn how to combine fibers, textiles, shapes and yarns in a dynamic 2D felt piece. Utilize the basics of color theory, wet felting, and embellishment techniques. We will start by creating a handmade sheet of wet felt and add decorative fibers and elements. Once our felt is dry, we will continue to work the surface with hand embroidered embellishment. Finished piece can be presented as is, or cut in to smaller interactive pieces. Class is four hours with a half hour brake. Consider bringing lunch.Bring to class: Consider bringing any fibers, silk textile, embroidery threads and yarns you wish to include in your collage.
