Art Therapy Group for Teens
Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Mondays @ 3:30pm ~ Ages 12- 15
Family therapist Ann Van Patten, LMFT hosts this art therapy group as a branch of Acceptance & Commitment Therapy. The intention of the group is to build a supportive space where we can grow together through cultivation of respect, compassion, and understanding. This group will take place outdoors, with social distancing, and include mindfulness activities, expression through art, discussions, and sharing on weekly topics based on the group’s evolving needs.
Art is a great use of self-expression that minimizes irritability levels, pain, and stress. With or without previous art history, artistic ability, or special creative talent, anyone between the ages of 12- 15 is welcome to join this judgement free zone.
