Can I bring a friend/ support person?

Yes! Students are very welcome to bring a friend/support person, however tickets and space are limited so please select an additional ticket for both yourself and your friend to ensure our numbers are accurate for catering and seating purposes.

What time do I need to arrive?

Registration opens at 9:00am, and the event begins at 9:30am for the Welcome to Country with smoking ceremony. From 10am to 12:30pm the event will be in The Lantern, Level 7 of The Library on the Bentley campus.

Question 3

I'm unable to attend in-person, will this be recorded?

The presentations will be recorded and distributed to all Curtin Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students after the event. Look out for the email from Curtin or contact ssa@curtin.edu.au for a copy.

Will there be food? I have a dietary

Absolutely! Both a morning tea and lunch are provided. We do our best to cater to most dietary requirements, and will always endeavour to provide gluten free, halal, and vegan/vegetarian options. If you are concerned about your dietary, please reach out to ssa@curtin.edu.au

Parking

The registration and Welcome to Country is at Atkinson Forum from 9:00am-10am, with limited seating in the area. The event presentations and activities are then in The Lantern, level 7 of the TL Robertson Library, which has lift access and stairs.

A Welcome to Country with smoking ceremony to start at Atkinson Forum, outside the TL Robertson Library. From 10am - 12:20am the event will be in The Lantern (Library Level 7), with presentations on supports for students, meeting important staff at morning tea and lunch, followed by faculty tours.
