A FREE dance program specifically for people of all ages with intellectual disabilities. No dance experience required! The 6:30 class is a VARIETY class, meaning we will be teaching a different style of dance each week-see abilitiesdance.org for the schedule, updated monthly. There is no weekly attendance commitment, sign up for as little or as many classes as you would like. We follow International Ballet Academy's calendar. In the case of inclement weather, please check your email and our Facebook page for info on class cancellations.
Waivers, medical release and photo release are required for class participation. Please go to our website for more information about Abilities Dance, to see the class schedule, to ask questions and to print the forms: www.abilitiesdance.org
Once you are registered you will receive additional email reminders with more in depth information about the class. See you there!
Is there an age limit for dancers?
No, we have dancers of all ages!
What should I bring to class?
If it is your first class, please bring the required waivers, medical release, and photo release (found on our website abilitiesdance.org). Also bring a water bottle to stay hydrated during class-we take frequent water breaks!
What is the dress code?
Please wear comfortable clothes that you can move in that are not too baggy. Hair must be pulled back away from the face. Tan jazz shoes are not required but are a plus; they can be purchased at Everything Dance inside Cary Ballet Conservatory on NW Cary Pkwy OR Relevé Dancewear on Meeting St.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to class?
No, you do not.
Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?
