About this event

The Thanksgiving Retreat will be offered live online via Zoom:

Friday November 19th to Sunday November 28th - PST

We will join the Abhayagiri Community in the rhythm of monastic life. We will take the Eight Precepts at the beginning of the retreat and retreatants are encouraged to plan their meals around their time zone.

The retreat will offer a schedule that includes Puja, Dhamma Teachings, Q&A sessions along with sitting and walking meditation. Qi gong will be offered.

We ask that if you register you make a commitment to fully participate in the retreat. We encourage all those who wish to participate to register as early as possible once registration opens.

To support those attending in various time zones, all sessions will be recorded and available throughout the retreat.

  • After submitting your registration you will receive a confirmation email from the retreat manager. Retreat details, including Zoom access information, will be sent to you closer to the retreat.
  • If you cannot attend the retreat please contact the retreat manager, Kathy Cheney right away to cancel, Please put this email address in your contacts to avoid any communications going to your spam folder.

This retreat is offered freely in the spirit of generosity. There is no fee to register. You will have the opportunity to offer Dana (donation) at the close of the retreat. Information will be provided.

We look forward to spending this time of retreat practice together with participants from around the world.
