Event description
Sunday social club run, everyone welcome

About this event

We are delighted to announce the resumption of runs subject to the below rules to keep everyone safe:

  • Please note the NEW SINGLE START LOCATION to allow for social distancing, the car park of the former Old Mill Inn (It's kinda burnt down a little but the car park area is still accessible but not for parking cars...)
  • You must sign up in advance using Eventbrite so that you can be organised into groups and we have a record of your attendance and details if need be.
  • Your name, email and mobile number is recorded should this become necessary for NHS Test and Protect. You will agree for these details to be shared with NHS Test and Protect should they be requested for the purposes of public health.
  • DO NOT ATTEND if you are suffering from coronavirus symptoms or if you are required to self isolate for any reason.
  • If you develop symptoms during a club run, do not continue. Stop and go directly home.
  • You must still observe social distancing of 2 metres at all times.
  • Practice good hand hygiene. Bring hand sanitising gel which you can use before, during (eg coffee stops) and after the run.
  • Do not share equipment, food, drink or tools. Bring your own supplies and spares. There may not be access to public toilets. Consider whether you should carry a face covering in case you require to go into a shop.
  • Practice good respiratory hygiene. Cough and sneeze into your elbow. No snot rockets!
  • To minimise requirement for first aid, all participants are encouraged to enjoy club events which are strictly within their capabilities and are required to wear suitable protection - open face helmet for road cycling.
  • We encourage all participants to download and use the NHS Protect Scotland App and take advantage of free lateral flow testing even if asymptomatic.
  • If you later develop symptoms of Coronavirus, you should immediately self isolate and request a test.
  • If you test positive for coronavirus and have attended a club run in the 14 days prior to developing symptoms, you must tell NHS Test and Protect to contact Wheelers Covid Co-Ordinators, Martin Reynolds Jnr, Dan Ewing or Roz Boynton, by email wheelerscovid@gmail.com, who will arrange for necessary information to be passed on.

SCARY IMPORTANT STUFF - We have imposed these health and safety measures to try to minimise the risk of participants contracting coronavirus at our Club Runs but remember that there is an inherent risk of exposure to coronavirus in a public place where people are present. Coronavirus is an extremely contagious disease that can lead to severe illness and death. Underlying medical conditions and age can make you especially vulnerable. Please consider whether you wish to assume these risks by attending.

The route shall be distributed via email each week or is available on AWCC Facebook page.
