Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

Who should attend? Educators who are experiencing burnout and may be considering leaving the field. Those who want to bring the passion back into their profession, create work/life balance and develop a healthy, sustainable career in education.

What will we do? Participants will attend meaningful workshops that address real issues that urban educators face. Instead of attending a bunch of different workshops that give you a lot of information in a little bit of time that you can not implement. We will take one workshop, "The ABCs of Beating Burnout" and go from inspiration to information, to practical implementation in one day.

When should I arrive? Though the event is schedule to begin at 10am you should arrive at 9:30. You'll want to have time to sign-in, complete the mixer activity, and decompress before we start the workshop. Also, if you want to tour the museum, please plan on staying an additonal hour afterwards.

Where is the event? The conference will be held in the Victorian Mansion, adjacent to the Blacks in Wax Musem in Baltimore, MD.

Why should I attend? You will get tangible takeways for beating burnout. Finally you will attend a professional development workshop that includes honest dialogue and practical solutions to the real problems you're facing. You'll get the support you need and the answers to questions you haven't been able to ask.

How will we address the problems that I'm facing? First by being honest, then by developing a plan. One of the best ways to deal with stress is to address the issues. We will spend time talking frankly about the problems in teaching and then each teacher will creat a personal, solution-oriented plan.
