Description

This free class is designed to help parents of children with autism learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), how this therapy can benefit your child and what to look for when choosing an ABA-based autism center for your child’s care. Our instructors will provide tips for parenting an autistic child, such as how to handle tantrums and manage mealtime meltdowns. This class is open to all families facing autism in the community, no matter where you are receiving treatment.

This class is free to attend. Space is limited, and pre-registration is required. One registration is needed per person.

To see our list of available dates and choose your preferred class, please see the drop-down box labeled "Select a Date" at the very top of this page.

This class meets in the Lecture Hall of Sacred Heart Hospital Pensacola. Please park in the Ninth Avenue parking garage and enter through the Ninth Avenue or Main Entrance. The Lecture Hall is located just past the information desk in the Conference Center.

We suggest bringing paper and pen to take notes.
