May is Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) or "Asian Heritage Month" is a period for the duration of the month of May for recognizing the contributions and influence of Asian Americans and Pacific Islander Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States.

This event is part of a series of three events happening throughout three (3) major regions of Virginia, in Northern Virginia, Central Virginia, and Southside Virginia!
At this event we gather our AAPI and friends network of Greater NORTHERN VIRGINIA-MID ATLANTIC REGION ( VA-MD-DC) in one AAPI Business Forum to highlight business strategy and opportunity surrounding the fast growing NOVA's AAPI small business community.

1. My Lan Tran, Executive Director-VA Asian Chamber of Commerce will serve as our AAPI Business Forum Moderator. (5mn Speaker’s introduction)
2. Mr. Rick Morris, Business Liaison Officer, Loudoun County Economic Development Authority, will offer a as a region in full economic growth with a comprehensive update on newest domestic and international export and investment projects and plan for the future and how county entrepreneurs can tap into these opportunities. (20mn presentation and 10 mn Q/A)
3. Ms. Rose Hong, President, Global Dragon TV, will lead a discussion with focus on the critical importance of branding and communications skills in winning business and maintaining relationships (20mn presentation and 10 mn Q/A )

Rick Morris serves as business development officer with the responsibility of leading our site selector liaison program, overseeing retail and leading strategic projects for one of the fastest-growing counties in the U.S.
Morris has worked for technology-driven companies including Sprint, Cable & Wireless, Lockheed Martin and Motorola across market segments and industries. His background includes 23 years of extensive international experience working successfully across the globe in a variety of roles including global sales management and business development.
Morris has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Maryland, College Park in both Business Administration and Marketing and an MBA from the University of Baltimore.

Rosa Hong, CEO, Global Dragon TV
Rose Hong is a published author, TV producer and host. She has a distinguished international business and federal government career spanning over 30 years.
She is the Founder/Executive Director of Global Dragon TV (www.GlobalDragonTV.com). Hong has published numerous articles in major newspapers and magazines and has been the Executive Producer and TV Host for several hundred episodes of television programs in the US and China. She also served on a variety of civic and charitable boards including Montero Medical Mission, which conducted medical and education outreaches by sending US volunteer doctors worldwide; and Medical Music Symphonic Group, which services our nation’s veterans and international medical causes.
