Call for Submissions: Upcoming Works-in-Progress (WIP) Session

About this event

The purpose of the session is to provide a collegial and supportive environment for lifting up and promoting each other’s scholarship. We invite contributions from legal scholars writing on issues of education law—issues affecting preschools and K-12 schools as well as higher education institutions. Paper proposals may be at any stage in the research and writing process, from early works in progress to quasi-completed articles as long as the manuscripts are still “in progress.”

We invite a diverse range of proposals, and especially encourage new faculty to participate. Please complete the associated form to receive updated information about submissions and event registration.

Submissions

To submit your work in progress for consideration, please send the title and a brief abstract (up to 500 words) of your work in progress, along with your name and contact information (including institutional affiliation) to Professor Karen Halverson Cross at khcross@uic.edu.

Submission Deadline: Friday, June 24, 2022 at Midnight (CST)

Members of the Section leadership will review proposals and notify presenters by late July. There is no registration fee to attend, but participants must pay their own travel expenses.

Additional information regarding the WIP session, including registration information, will be forthcoming. In the meantime, please contact Karen Cross (khcross@uic.edu) with questions about the WIP session or the submission process.
