Brent Allred is an Emmy Award-winning composer with two nominations from Selma, Indiana. At the age of 18, he received his first Emmy nomination for the documentary State of Assault. In 2011 just after turning 21, Brent won his first Emmy for the score to the documentary for Black Baseball in Indiana.
As Co-Founder and President of Avec Audio, Brent is projecting his vision of a new, empowered music industry embracing new technologies to take music to a new level of quality. By facilitating changes he sees as necessary in the work he loves, Brent is living by the motto he personally follows and has branded within the culture of Avec Audio: To create is to imagine.
Brent has had the distinct privilege of working with numerous high profile composers in his career. Namely, his piece Omnipotence was performed with the Indiana Symphony Orchestra and Kevin Kiner, the composer for Star Wars: The Clone Wars, to professionally record the piece.
At the age of 18, Brent was also fortunate enough to win a spot in the top 5 composers in the prestigious Ithaca College National Choral Composition Contest. He is the youngest person ever to receive this honor.
As a pioneer in the application of live sampling technologies with Avec Audio, Brent is ready for the future of music. Being on the cutting edge of music is his specialty. Observe the masses and do the opposite. Do what you love. Make music. To create is to imagine.
