Ever wanted to see inside a great wedding photographer's brain? How do they get their ideas? What makes them tick? This class will give you a peek inside the creative mind of Jenica Lemmons, a rising star in the wedding photography industry. Jenica will take you through a full wedding day from getting ready, through the first look, the formals, the ceremony and reception. She will cover what equipment she uses, how she sets up the day of timeline and how to create beautiful portraits within the chaos of a wedding day. She'll cover these topics:
- Timeline of wedding day
- Lighting set up
- Shooting wedding details
- Family formals
- The first look
- Formals of bride and groom (how to get the most in a short time window)
- How to deal with the unexpected on a wedding day
- How to be creative within the chaos of a wedding day
OPPA members will receive an OPPA education merit. PPA members will receive a PPA merit.
Note: the afternoon portion of this class will be held at SMILE, 8210 SE 13th Ave, Portland.
Jenica Lemmons is a wannabe ninja with a few cameras who has gotten some shiny trophies the last few years for her photo taking skills. She runs Lemondrops Photography based out of Longview, Washington and has been in business since 2006. She photographs weddings, seniors, and families. Jenica is known for her silly personality and her ability to create beautiful images in crazy, chaotic and stressful environments. She attributes this super-power to the fact that she is a mom of three incredibly active kids. Weddings are her true passion and she’s excited to start sharing her knowledge and experience with others.
She was awarded “photographer of the year” for PPW in 2013, “wedding photographer of the year” through the PPW in 2014, as well as “wedding division award” in OPPA in 2014. In 2015, her images have been seen in Huffington Post and she won a third place Grand Imaging Award at the International Print Competition through PPA.
