A Way We Sew - Classic Shirt Cuff Lesson
Event Information
About this Event
With a background in teaching adults both on land (for the Gates Foundation) and at sea (aboard Princess Cruise Lines), Leah brings a straightforward yet entertaining approach to educating adults.
Benefits to her method include:
-Make the entire cuff, including topstitching and buttonholes/buttons - BEFORE you sew it to the shirt
- Matching, professional looking cuffs using our 'signature' interfacing as template method.
- Even topstitching inside and out - every time.
Our methods are a little different. We like to "sew rogue", cut corners, sew backwards, and have fun while learning new techniques you can apply to any sewing project. In this presentation, you'll learn how to: - Sew first, cut later for faster, simpler sewing. - Sew two different cuff styles (angled or barrel). - Construction sewing tips to form a crisp, smooth, rounded, no-pucker cuffs that forms around the wrist. - Topstitch techniques you can apply to any project - and more!
Participants will receive a PDF of instructions plus sample cuff pattern. Session will be recorded and attendees may view for 30 days after the presentation has aired. They will also receive a code to receive a 15% discount of all AWWS products
