A walk from 'The Nower to Nower House'

Join Abbeyfield Wey Valley Socieites Nower House team for a walk from 'The Nower to Nower House' on Friday, 7th November in aid of 'Befriending Week' from 10am until 12pm.

Please meet Abbie at the entrance to The Nower where the notice board which meets Harrow Road West.

Nower House's Community Liaison, Abbie, will take you on a walk through The Nower and looks forward to talking all things community, local wildlife and of course available to answer any questions that may be asked about Abbeyfield's story.

Abbie may point out various bird, plant and invertebrate species, including; Goldcrest, Firecrest, Treecreeper, Nuthatch, Redwing and perhaps a Tawny owl or two! Feel free to bring binoculars with you, for a better chance of spotting local wildlife.

Who are we? Abbeyfield Wey Valley Society is a not-for-profit charity, providing both home and residential care. We are a registered charity which is led by a board of volunteer retired professionals and a small, friendly senior management team. We confidentally put care before profit and reinvest a small surplus into our residents' services, to ensure they are provided with excellent care, fun-filled activities and events for their wellbeing and most importantly, a place they can call home that is always kept warm and serves healthy, nutritious food.

We are heavily committed to hosting events such as this one to bring the community together, at no cost (although we welcome donations), in our new community space. We know how important it is to tackle lonliness, isolation and invest in our own mental and pyhsical wellbeing when we can.
