A Virtual Outing: The Elmwood in Berkeley
Event Information
About this Event
Greenbelt Alliance Board member Bob Johnson will lead us on this Zoom stroll along tree-lined streets to show us Elmwood's varied and handsome architecture (including designs by Bernard Maybeck and Julia Morgan) and vibrant commercial district. Bob will share fascinating bits of history and point out the former homes of famous artists and other notables. Along the way, we'll pass both the house where Patty Hearst was kidnapped and Bill and Hillary's love-nest during the summer of 1971.
This is one of the many walks featured in Bob Johnson and Janet Byron's book, Berkeley Walks.
