Event description
It’s (almost) summertime and the “living is easy”— the perfect time for an evening hike on Mount Diablo!

About this event

Our virtual soiree begins at Coulter Pond, where we’ll look for toads and frogs. Then we’ll hike up Mitchell Canyon to learn about the park’s evening shift, including poor-wills, bats, and owls.

Now that parks are reopening in California, this is the perfect morning presentation to inspire your own hike to Mount Diablo in the cooler hours of the evening!

PRESENTERS: Liz Watson and Ken Lavin

COST: Free

NOTES: If you have any questions about this event, email Ken Lavin or phone him at 415-543-6771 x 321.

About the Presenter

Liz Watson is a special education teacher for Contra Costa County. She currently teaches at Liberty High School in Brentwood. Liz holds a California naturalist certification from UC Davis extension and volunteers at the Lindsay Wildlife Rehabilitation Hospital in Walnut Creek
