Event description

Description

Rachel Ignotofsky is the New York Times-bestselling author and illustrator of "Women in Science," "Women in Sports," and most recently, "The Wondrous Workings of Planet Earth." Drawing on her graphic design background, she creates playful illustrations and infographics that educate, entertain, and shed light on science, art, and the environment. In her engaging talks and presentations, she demonstrates how combining art and science can make even the most intimidating subjects approachable. A strong advocate for women in STEM fields, Ignotofsky also explains how representation and narratives can empower young women to follow their passions.

Join us at the Delaware Main Library at 6:30 p.m. to meet Rachel, hear about her writing and design process, and enjoy a book signing.

Refreshments provided by Fresh Start Cafe & Bakery. Books available for purchase from Beanbag Books.

Want to learn more? Join the Universe of Storytellers Book Club this summer, meeting over the lunch hour at Fresh Start Cafe & Bakery. Books available for checkout from the library, or for purchase with a partnership from Beanbag Books.
