On the afternoon of Sunday 4th December, an all-star band will gather to pay tribute to some of the founding fathers of fusion and hard bop, all of whom died much younger than we'd have wished: Jaco Pastorius, Tony Williams, Mike Brecker, Bob Berg, Don Grolnick, Tommy Bolin and Victor Bailey.
Led by bassist Patrick Moore, and featuring Theo Travis on saxes and flute, Andy G Jones on guitars, Alex Maguire on keyboards and Mark Mondesir on drums, the band will be playing some of the best-loved tunes from the early 70s to the late 80s, when fusion ruled the world. Tunes will include:
Friday Night at the Cadillac Club
Song for Bilbao
and many more....
Doors open at 12:30, to give you time to settle in, and perhaps have brunch or lunch, before the music starts at 2:30. The music will finish between 5:00 and 5:30.
Advance tickets are just £10 each (£5 for under-16s), including all booking fees. Admission on the door will be £12/£6. Advance sales have been extended, and now end at 11:30pm on Saturday 3rd December.
See you there..... :-)
