Age Restrictions

In this 2 hour class, you'll sample some of the dishes made famous by the Queen of Creole Cuisine, who maintained that "there is no greater calling than feeding people." Our instructors will not only show you how to make each dish, they will introduce you to some of the highlights of Ms. Chase's long career as a chef and restaurateur.

For ages 18 and up. 21 or older? You'll enjoy a glass of wine paired with the menu.

Dooky Chase's is known for it's good food, African-American art collection, and the parade of famous people who came through the doors, including entertainers, politicians, Civil Rights Leaders, and artists. Leah Chase won numerous awards for her Civil Rights work and her cooking. Her portrait hangs in the National Portrait Gallery and artifacts from her kitchen are on display at the National Museum of African-American History and Culture.
