Featuring: Antwan Murphy

Antwan Murphy is an actor and comedian, know for his work on PK’s Jax Finest (2017); and Tez Brooks's “I Cant Breathe” (2019). You’ve seen his hilarious in-your-face act in comedy clubs all around the country, and more recently as the house emcee at the former Comedy Club of Jacksonville.

Headlining: Barbara Carlyle

Barbara Carlyle has been doing comedy for more than 40 years. Her comedic skills are so carefully honed that she leaves audiences in stitches wherever she goes. Prior to comedy, Barbara did a short stint in the Marine Corps (because she was looking for a few good men), and also tried her hand at teaching for awhile.

She has appeared on Apollo Comedy Hour, Def Jam, Comic View, and Comic Xscape, just to name a few. A stickler for detail, she can speed read an audience and know exactly where to take her jokes. Carlyle has performed abroad in Germany, The Netherlands, England, and the Virgin Islands, just to name a few of the places that have experienced her electric brand of comedy internationally. Her aim in life is to leave an indelible mark in the world of comedy.

Train

Produced and Hosted by Comedian A-Train

A-Train Live! The Experience continues to make history in its fourth year as Jacksonville's premier comedy series that's far more than a comedy show. This unique variety experience just got bigger and better with dining, a Live Band, and The A-Train Live! Market Place, before those enjoying this FULL NIGHT of entertainment and social fun transition over to the Jam Session brought to you by Bad Boy Entertainment's DJ Oxygen. DJ Oxygen takes the party to the next level for A-Train who plays host to some of the funniest comedians from around the country. Comedian A-Train also conducts a brief interview/Q&A session with the featured comic at the end of each show. These sessions allow audience members to gain a more intimate understanding of the men and women behind the jokes.

Jacksonville native and resident, Comedian A-Train hosts the ultimate entertainment experience known as A-Train Live! The Experience. He’s traveled and opened for Original King of Comedy D. L. Hughley and has toured with Kountry Wayne. He has featured for the biggest names in clean comedy, Michael Jr. and viral sensation KevOnStage, and has hit the stage with Dave Coulier (Full House), Pete Lee (VH1’s Best Week Ever), Dave Landau, Keith Robinson, Orny Adams, Bill Bellamy, the legendary Elayne Boosler, Ali Siddiq, Zainab Johnson, and so many others. A-Train is a fan favorite at churches, comedy clubs, concerts, and festivals like the Zora Neal Hurston Festival, Orlando Jazz Festival, Steel City Jazz Festival—Birmingham, and Jacksonville Jazz Festival—the second largest in the country where he’s the first and only comedian to host in the city’s 39-year history. He has opened and hosted for Patti Labelle, Kirk Franklin, David and Tamela Mann, The Isley Brothers, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Avant, KeKe Wyatt, Martha Munizzi, Shirley Caesar, Erica Campbell, Mary Mary, Yolanda Adams, Big Daddy Kane, Miles Jaye, K. Michelle, and more. He’s hosted the Willie Moore Jr. Happily After All Tour, The Kings and Queens of Hip Hop Tour, Don & Diva Tour—Rick Ross/K. Michelle, The Blues is All Right Tour, Holiday Block Party—Keisha Cole & Friends, and the Love and Laughter Block Party with co-host Vivica Fox.

Comedian A-Train is also the first and only comedian to have a comedy series take residence in the Historic Ritz Theatre & Museum since its inception in 1929, partnering with the venue affectionately known as the Apollo of the South, to add to LaVilla’s (Harlem of the South) rich history of Black entertainment in the city of Jacksonville.
