Event description

Description

afghan november eb graphic

You'll hear more of Uliya's story at the dinner, and meet her wonderful children--several of whom are working to support the family in addition to going to school full-time. One of the most important goals for this family is to provide enough income so that none of the teenagers has to quit school to work full time.

You can find out more about Hope & Sesame's work with local refugee families--and see pictures of our past events, including delicious food!--on our website at www.HopeAndSesame.org.

This dinner is made possible in part by the generosity and welcoming spirit of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.

Please purchase tickets by clicking the green button above.

Also, we would much rather have you join us for dinner than make a donation. However, if you can't make it and still want to support the event, we are making a small number of Community Tickets available. Each Community Ticket you purchase will be given to a local refugee or immigrant, or someone who can join the table as an interpreter.

Julie, Laurie & Robert
