Event description
This is for the live event for the local film, "A Story Worth Living" Saturday, November 27th at the Imagination Station Theatre.

About this event

Have you missed local arts and attending the movie theatre? If so, here is an event for YOU!

Globally-recognized, locally-produced and multi-awarded dramatic independent film, "A Story Worth Living" first made its World Premiere on the big screen in the heart of Hollywood at the Golden State Film Festival, February 2020, just prior to novel Coronavirus outbreak.

Since its world debut, the film has challengingly been making its way around the world in the festival circuit due to the restrictions and cancellations Covid has brought. However, in spite of the challenges, the film has screened in four countries, including the United States, Italy, the Netherlands and Germany, as well as six major U.S. cities, including Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando, New York City, Atlanta, and more - and those numbers are only continuing to rise now that the world is beginning to open up once again.

The anticipation for this film began when Toledo-native writer and director of the film, Vanessa Leonard, first spoke to local news WTOL Channel 11 and 13abc, sharing the movie trailer on World Mental Health Day, October 10, 2019. Vanessa then made headlines once again when she shared with the Toledo Blade that her film was debuting in Hollywood last February.

Come see why this film was voted Best Locally-Produced Film in 2020 in the "Toledo City Paper", has been screened all over the world and is now making its way back to the Glass City where it all started. Additionally, while watching this film, you can point out local landmarks since the movie was filmed 80% in the Toledo surrounding area.

Because the film touches on the topic of normalizing mental illness, Leonard partnered with the local nonprofit, the Zepf Center, as a portion of the sale proceeds will be donated to the organization.

Saturday, November 27th at the Imagination Station Theatre - see you there!
