"A Stage of Twilight" - RIIFF 2022 SCREENING

“A Stage of Twilight” is a love story set in the final chapter of Cora (Karen Allen) and Barry's (William Sadler) life.

When Barry is confronted with a terminal diagnosis, he is compelled to make a decision that his wife cannot support. This end-of-life struggle is heightened further when Joey, a neighbor boy who acts as a surrogate son to the childless couple, reaches a critical crossroads for his own future. Both paths ask the question: whose right is it to make life's inevitable impossible decisions when the impact will be felt by the people we love most?

Director Biography - Sarah T. Schwab

Sarah T. Schwab is in post-production for a feature film she wrote and directed called, "A Stage of Twilight," starring Karen Allen ("Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Animal House") and William Sadler ("Die Hard 2," "The Shawshank Redemption").

In August 2020, Sarah locked a feature she directed and co-wrote called “Life After You,” starring Gary Perez (“Homeland,” “The Sopranos”), Florencia Lozano ("Narcos," “One Life To Live”), and Kathryn Erbe ("Law & Order: Criminal Intent," "Stir of Echoes"). She recently concluded the festival circuit and won "Best Director of a Feature Film" at the Madrid International Film Festival, "Best Feature Film" and "Best Lead Actress" at the Nice International Film Festival, and "Special Jury Remi for a First Feature" and "Best Lead Actress" at WorldFest-Houston.

In 2018, she wrote, directed, and produced the short film, “‘A’ My Name Is." The film went on to tour the festival circuit internationally and was awarded "Best WNY Short" at the Buffalo International Film Festival, and “Best Lead Actress In A Short Film” at the Nice International Film Festival, the Nova Star Awards, as well as the Young Entertainer Awards.

Sarah is a member of the Playwright/Directors Unit at Actors Studio in New York City.
