TCS Annual Silent Auction Party

(Note: the TCS Silent Auction Party is not part of our three-concert subscription series)

You'll be sure to find something to arouse all of your senses at our annual Silent Auction Party, this year held at the historic Wonder Bread Factory in Shaw. Feast your eyes on an array of tempting items up for bid at our silent auction to benefit the dual mission of TCS while enjoying delicious hors d’oeuvres as well as tasty cocktails provided by our friends at Catoctin Creek Distillery, including the popular Thomas Circle Slammer.  Enjoy a unique performance by the Thomas Circle Singers featuring Philip Orr's "The J. Peterman Company Owner's Manual No. 44B,” a one-of-a-kind piece about one-of-a-kind merchandise, and noteworthy music by Kurt Weill, Jerome Kern and Irving Berlin.

Thomas Circle Singers

Thomas Circle Singers is a choral ensemble with a dual mission: to perform diverse choral works for the enjoyment of audiences in the Washington, DC area and to raise awareness and funds for organizations that address the pressing needs of the city's underserved citizens.  This season TCS is proud to partner with Calvary Women’s Services, which offers housing, health, employment and education programs that empower homeless women in Washington, DC to change their lives. Calvary’s programs carry out a mission to achieve excellence in what the organization offers: a safe, caring place for tonight; support, hope and change for tomorrow. These programs include transitional and permanent housing, personalized case management, life skills and education opportunities, job training, health and wellness services, on-site therapy and daily addiction recovery meetings. Calvary understands that every woman has the strengths and gifts she needs to be successful. Each woman in Calvary's programs identifies and builds on her strengths, meeting her goals for safe housing, good health and financial independence.
