A Space for Us - Launch Weekend (Online)
Location
Online event
Come and join us online for the two special events we're holding during our launch weekend.
About this event
We're very excited to be opening up our queer events space and archive reading room to the LGBTQ+ community and our allies.
The weekend runs as an Open Door from 11am on Saturday and 12 noon on Sunday, so if you are able, come along any time until 2pm when you will have the chance to see our book collection for the first time. There'll be refreshments and the opportunity to talk to us about how you'd like to see us move forward. We're especially looking forward to welcoming and thanking our generous our crowdfunding campaign donors.
If you don't want to attend in person or you've something else on, then please book a ticket for these sessions which will also be online. A recording of the events will be available later if you've booked a ticket but can't make it. Or go to the in-person event to book tickets there.
Saturday 2pm - we present a Spoken Word and Music session.
Sunday 2pm - Kate Charlesworth introduces her 6 new queer writers cards and bookmarks followed by poets from Rock the Boat.
Edinburgh Palette and the events space and archive are fully accessible. Access to the building avoiding the stairs at the London Road entrance is by lift from the basement car park which has designated Blue Badge parking. Access to the car park is from Smokey Brae. If you have any additional questions about access requirement please let us know by leaving a note when you order your tickets or by emailing us.
