About this event

The directors of music from Wesley Monumental United Methodist Church (Monica Harper Dekle), St. John’s Church (Stephen Branyon), Christ Church (Timothy Hall), and the Cathedral Basilica (Paul Thornock) are joined by the Cathedral Brass for an evening of very big music!  The four organists will take turns putting the Noack organ through its paces and conducting the full ensemble in works of Strauss, Gigout, and others.

The Cathedral Basilica's existing protocols for social distancing will be in effect, including mask wearing. Hand sanitizer will be provided. Seating will be limited to 30% of normal capacity.

Friends of Cathedral Music presents Glorious Music in a Glorious Place: the Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist in Savannah.

You will hear masterworks by the iconic W.A. Mozart, modern composer David Briggs, and treasured choral composers, plus ancient chant, newly composed music, and everything in between!

This year's Visiting Artist, Stile Antico, will perform at the Cathedral Basilica on Sunday, October 8th at 5PM.
