Our Feature for this month is Yossi who grew grew up performing at Chickenshed theatre which is an Amazing Inclusive theatre company based in Southgate, north London.
'Yossi's been writing raps and plays since he was 12. He recently discovered spoken word. He's been gigging on the spoken word scene for 2 months in which he won is first ever slam at spout and the poetic unity's black history competition. He performed at the Back2Black awards at the bafta's.
As day job works for a charity running duke of Edinburgh awards. Also creating company running spokenword/ acting and physical theatre workshops in schools.

Rules/details for the slam:
8 slam slots in total.
4 sign up slots are available from the week before the slam by signing up on the wall of this facebook page.
The remaining 4 slots are reserved for those who wish to sign up on the night from 7:30. First come, first served.
This is a 3 round slam; The highest scoring poets go through each round until the final. The poet who attains the highest score in all three Round takes home the prize money (£50!) and the opportunity to feature for the Spoken/Spout team in the near future.
Judges are randomly selected from the audience in the beginning of the night, and will be providing scoring throughout.
3 minutes per poem, if you go over that time limit, you begin getting counted out.
