Event description

Description

As World War II rages on, the daily life at Devon school seems unaffected by the world outside itself. Gene, Finny, Brinker, Leper, Bobby and Chet spend their summer session in ignorant bliss. Concerning themselves about the safety of jumping out of trees instead of preparing themselves for their inevitable drafting. As the boys approach coming of age, they must come to terms with the war and growing up. The boys live in a separate peace until tragedy strikes and the boys are snapped into a harsh reality.

Point Theatre Project presents an all femme production which aims to show a new perspective on peer pressure, friendship, masculinity, growing up, and examining our own privilege when the world is at war with itself.

You don't want to miss this heart-wrenching, thought-provoking, interpretation of the classic book by John Knowles, adapted for the stage by Nancy Gilsenan.
