Event description
Join us for a Sensory Healing Journey through a Forest/Sound Healing/Reiki Bath and Wild Foraged Tea Ceremony. $29 Pre / $35 at The Door

About this Event

Join Forest Therapy Guide and Reiki Master, Sari Telpner, & Healing Sound Practitioner; Flute Player/Maker, Geri Littlejohn, for a, "Sensory Healing Journey." We begin with a "Forest Bath"-guided sensory immersion in nature, followed by a Healing Sound/Reiki Bath, immersing in the vibrational medicine of Native American Flute &hands-on and distant, Reiki Energy Healing. We'll complete our journey with a Wild Foraged Tea Ceremony.

We'll unplug and step away from our busy minds. As we drop into our sense body, we'll slow way down and connect in a new way with The Land, as well as ourselves and others during a Forest Bathing Walk. Throughout, you'll be invited to take part in "Circle Sharing."

Once we have slowed down, our journey continues with a Healing Sound & Reiki Bath as we drop into vibrational healing with Geri's Native American Flute-healing sound bath, immersing in the "voices of the trees". Simultaneously, Sari will fill the space with Reiki Energy through her offering of distant and hands-on Reiki. Reiki is known for helping to clear energetic blocks, allowing healing to move through; supporting anxiety, sleep and physical, mental and emotional balance.

A Wild Foraged Tea Ceremony will allow us to taste nature and prepare us to step back into the outside world.

Registration is limited to 20 people. Pre-registration required.

What to Bring:

Forest Bath: Dress in very warm layers for outside, as we'll move very slowly, building no body heat during approximately 50 minutes outside. (seriously, dress in warm layers, including long johns, hat and gloves). (also for warmth during Reiki/Sound Bath).

Sound Healing/Reiki Bath: Pillow and Blanket or Yoga Mat

Tea Ceremony: Let me know of any food allergies.

Registration is limited to 20 people. Pre-registration required.

Pre-Registration & Arrival Time: Preparation for a Forest Walk begins a minimum of 2 days prior to the event. Trails are assessed and Tea Ceremony supplies are acquired based on number of registered participants. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to pre-register at least 24 hours before the scheduled event to reserve your spot. If you have not pre-registered, please call to find out if there is still space, 541-482-4095

Arrival Time: This experience is sequential and builds on itself from the very beginning. Participants should arrive 10-15 minutes before scheduled start time as we begin promptly on schedule. Once our circle has formed and the experience begins, our "container" is sealed. If you cannot arrive to begin on time with the group, we can reschedule for another date.

"Each time I play a healing sound concert or simply offer up a song as prayer, I call upon my years of participating in Ceremony. As I work with flutes in an intentional way, I begin to understand how important vibration is – how everything vibrates at a different frequency. By working with these frequencies, energy can be shifted. Music heals – the body, mind, and spirit. A low flute can connect a listener with the earth that supports us, nourishes us, and gives us life. A clear, high pitched flute speaks directly to our spirits. As a wind instrument, the flutes remind us to breathe."

“Trees are some of my best teachers. They are my friends. Within the trees there are all the elements: sunlight, wind, water, the sound of the birds. They’re rooted in the earth and teach us about the value of stillness, show us how to dance in one place. I often speak about our relationship with trees. We are each others’ lungs. Every time the trees exhale, we inhale. When we sing or play a wind instrument, our exhale is music. Working with wood keeps me deeply connected, grounded, rooted. I started making flutes from branches about eight years ago. They force me to work with what is. It’s an amazing thing to take a branch and help it have a voice.”
