Grab your GREEN, lace up your kicks and join A Runner's Mind for the first annual San Francisco Jig and Jog 5K in Golden Gate Park!


Race Day - Sunday March 20th

7:00AM - Check in Opens
8:30AM - 5K Race Start
8:30AM - Post Race Festival Opens
9:15AM - KEEN Kids Dash 9:25AM - St Paddy's Day Costume Contest 9:30AM - Awards Ceremony



Bring the whole family to this one and let the little guys run in the KEEN Kids Dash, a 250 yard dash around the music concourse (Parents can jump in a run too!). ALL kids who participate will receive a race bib AND a post dash suprise! Registration for the K.E.E.N. Kids Dash is just $5 and 100% of the proceeds go to KEEN SF. KEEN stands for Kids Enjoy Excercising Now.

KEEN’s mission is to empower youth with disabilities by providing free, non-competitive one-to-one programs of exercise, fitness and fun, led by volunteer coaches.

KEEN’s vision is fostering the confidence, self-esteem and inclusion in the community for youth with disabilities; strengthening the community through education of volunteers; and providing families with respite and a supportive network.

Awards will be given to the top 3 runners in each age group. Age groups will be broken down the following way: Youth 13 and Under, 14-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50 and Masters 50+

  • The top 3 finishers in each age group will win a $25 gift certificate to A Runner's Mind.

  • Finish as one of the top 3 men or women overall and you will receive a POT OF "GOLD"!

  • Finish as the top man or woman overall and you win yourself a new pair of running kicks courtesy of A Runner's Mind!


After the race will will crank up the tunes and let the St Paddy's Day themed festivities begin! It is called the JIG and Jog after all... Grab your post race refreshments and explore our local vendorsincludint Hint Water, Basecamp SF, Power Crunch, Brooks Running, Flywheel Coffee, PSOAS and MORE, chat with fellow runners and enjoy/participate in our St. Paddy's day costume contest.


How the heck do I get to the race?

BIKE PARKING: Bike parking is located directly behind the Bandshell on Music Concourse Drive.

CAR PARKING: There is a paid parking garage at the Music Concourse on the north side of the park from 10th Avenue and Fulton Street or from John F. Kennedy Drive in front of the de Young Museum. The garage is open from 7:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. daily.

MUNI: The #44-O'Shaughnessy bus stops inside Golden Gate Park at the Music Concourse.
The #5-Fulton stops at 8th Avenue and Fulton Street, just outside the park. From 8th Avenue, walk into the park and turn right on John F. Kennedy Drive. Then turn left onto Music Concourse Drive.

AHHH I can't make it?

We are unable to acomodate refunds, however, if you can't make it to the race let's us know. We are happy tranfer your registration to a friend as long as you request is submitted by March 13th. How? See the answer above.
