Event description

Description

This engaging, highly-interactive workshop is designed to explore the role of “love” in the destruction and restoration of the family unit, and to carefully examine how the rediscovery and use of “love” in communities of color impacts the social, political, and economic outcomes for the entire U.S., and ultimately leads to the advancement of marginalized groups. Family (the foundation of all communities) and love (a revolutionary act that resists the systematic dismantling of the family, especially families of color) is the focus of our workshop. To love oneself, grow a family, and build community despite the malevolent acts directed towards communities of color is revolutionary because these acts deliberately resists systemic oppression. Let us resist, rebuild, and restore together! See more at: https://youtu.be/AMUOACqb-Xs
