Event description

Description

All SCS students are invited to get away to relax and reflect. This retreat is a chance to experience a beautiful place where you can get to know more deeply the richness of the SCS student community as well as yourself, and find sources of wisdom and strength for your journey. Though indebted to Ignatian spirituality, this retreat will be a welcoming space to people of any faith tradition or none at all; everyone is welcome.

Located in the beautiful Virginia Blue Ridge Mountains, the Calcagnini Contemplative Center is Georgetown University’s home away from home and a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy nature. Close to the Appalachian Trail, there are miles of hiking trails and many ways to wander and wonder.

Food will be provided and a bus will take us to and from the Calcagnini Center, leaving SCS at 1:30 p.m. on March 10 and returning at 3 p.m. on March 11. Accommodation requests (including the need for a private room) should be made by to Mary Novak (mn565@georgetown.edu) by March 7, 2018.

Sign up early because space is limited. We look forward to sharing this time with you. If you have further any questions, please contact Mary Novak (mn565), Associate Director for Ignatian Formation, or Trey Sullivan (rfs37), Program Director, Liberal Studies.

Registration Deadline: March 1, 2018
