Join us for A Piece of the World with Christina Baker Kline, featuring the author of the forthcoming A Piece of the World, the New York Times bestselling Orphan Train, in conversation with Virginia Foundation for the Humanities Board member Renee Grisham. During the program, enjoy wine and a sweet treat. Book sales and signing will follow.
Christina Baker Kline is the author of six novels, including the forthcoming A Piece of the World, based on the iconic painting "Christina’s World" by Andrew Wyeth. Her most recent novel, Orphan Train, spent more than two years on the New York Times bestseller list, including five weeks at #1, and has been published in 38 countries. More than 100 communities and colleges have chosen it as a “One Book, One Read” selection.
Kline is a graduate of the UVA MFA program, where she was a Henry Hoyns Fellow. She lives in an old house in Montclair, New Jersey, with her husband, David Kline, and three sons, Hayden, Will, and Eli. She spends as much time as possible in an even older house in Southwest Harbor, Maine.
Tickets: $25. Coffee or tea and a sweet treat provided by Albemarle Baking Company is included. A maximum of twenty tickets may be purchased at one time.

Parking: Paid parking is available in downtown public parking lots on Market Street and Water Street, as well as at the Omni. Some free on-street parking is available in the surrounding neighborhood.
