Geauga Economic Breakfast (GEL) Presents

“A Peek Into The Circular Economy: How Waste Plastic Can Create New Value For Our Communities”

Presented by Michael Dungan, Director of Sales and Marketing RES Polyflow LLC Chagrin Falls OH

The responsible management of end of life plastic continues to be one of the grand challenges for consumers and manufacturers worldwide. Our waterways and oceans continue to find themselves as a final resting place for much of the packaging and plastic film generated by the world’s economy. At the same time, precious landfill space is allocated to bury these energy rich materials where they lie dormant for thousands of years untapped.

One Geauga County company is set to change the current waste paradigm by commercializing a technology that will not only revolutionize plastic recycling in the U.S. and abroad but will begin the process of adopting a circular economy within the petrochemical industry where a post-use item such as a plastic shopping bag can be efficiently repurposed as an input for a new polymer product or a high demand transportation fuel.

Learn more about the RES Polyflow story and how plastic waste is being redefined as a viable building block for our economy. There will also be a live walk-through after the session of the company’s proprietary process that is housed in a mobile system to convert any type of post-use plastic into high demand hydrocarbon liquid.
