Welcome to A Parade of Self

For 16 + Only

FREE workshop | Parade

Presented by artists TriggerBliss and Kim Davey in collaboration with Essex Cultural Diversity Project.

We are excited to invite you to be part of A Parade of Self—a creative celebration of identity, storytelling, and self-expression.

This free workshop is a relaxed space to reflect, talk and get creative - no writing experience needed. We will explore the labels and stereotypes we have been given or given to ourselves, and gently reclaim our voices through guided conversations, group exercises and creative writing prompts.

Don't worry if writing is'nt your thing - you can speak instead and we will audio record your words with your permission. Whether your contribution is one sentence, a memory, or a feeling, every voice matters.

We will then bring your stories to life! We will transform your words into empowerment fabric designs, using your hand-writing that forms the basis of our final float build.

You are then invited to join us at festivals across essex as we showcase your work in the final part of this project on the 'Parade of Self'!
