"A Night of Freedom"

Winton Woods City Schools and the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center (NURFC) are partnering for “A Night of Freedom,” a student performance and project exhibition, on Wednesday, March 22, from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. in the grand lobby at the Freedom Center. The event is free and open to all Winton Woods students, parents and community members.
“A Night of Freedom” will feature a reception, musical performances, a visual arts gallery walk, student exhibits, and an award presentation. The following is the schedule of events:
5:30-7:00 p.m. - Reception, Student Performances and Art Gallery
Some of the student musical performances will include:
- Interactive performances of Native American music by the Winton Woods High School Orchestra
- Song performances by Winton Woods High School’s Symphonic Band and Bella Voce and Varsity Ensemble choirs
- “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” by the Winton Woods Intermediate School clarinet quartet
- Songs by the choirs at Winton Woods Primary North and South and by Winton Woods Elementary School’s Elemelodies.
6:15-7:30 p.m. - Student Project Exhibition
7:30-8:00 p.m. - Student Awards
