Description

Please join us for our second annual fundraising event, A Night of Comedy & Community (18+), to benefit Horizons at The Ethel Walker School, the country’s first all-girls Horizons program.

The main event will feature Liz Miele, stand-up comedian from New York City. Miele has appeared on Comedy Central's "Live at Gotham" and regularly tours with "Nobodies of Comedy" and Armed Forces Entertainment and just finished performing on a book tour for Chris McDougall, author of “Born to Run.” Lauren Hope Krass, an experienced stand-up comedian hails from Charleston, South Carolina. She's been featured in the Charleston Comedy Festival, The She Devil Comedy Festival, and the Annapolis Comedy Festival. Moreover, she was highlighted in "The New York Times” and she has a free weekly show called "Casual Sets" at QED in Astoria.

In addition to a great comedy show, there will also be a LIVE AUCTION!

Horizons at The Ethel Walker School is a tuition-free, six-week summer academic and cultural enrichment program that improves educational outcomes for disadvantaged girls from Hartford public schools, and is made possible by the generous support of the community. All proceeds from this event will fund student programming and instruction.
