Event description

Description

PCFC logoA Night of Champions!

This is not your grandparent's fundraiser! Much like we're working to shake up the elite, exclusionary club soccer system, we also want to shake up the tired 'ol fundraiser model too. Come in your casual attire (could even be your favorite jersey!) and enjoy some classic stadium style food from Sizzle Pie and Home Plate Sliders - vegan options too of course!

We will be celebrating our Most Valuable Player and Best Practice Attendance award winners from all our teams! Award winning players and their families will be the guests of honor for the evening.

Lagunitas will have plenty of delicious beer on tap and all sales go right back to PCFC! There will be wine to purchase as well.

We will also have awesome raffle items along with some very cool auction packages, including a two night stay on Whidbey Island, WA!

We are so excited to create community amongst our players, families and supporters! Join us, and help us reach our 2019 fundraising goals as we continue to provide accessible, high quality soccer for low-income communities.

All for Soccer, Soccer for All!

Can't join us? Visit us at www.pcfc.co to donate!

More about PCFC:

  • We began in 2013 to provide a competitive soccer club for kids from low-income communities. The average cost to play in a comptetitive club in Portland is $2000 - $3000 per year. This excludes so many families, especially from communities of color. Our average cost is $500 per year.
  • Our mission to provide the same environment of high quality coaching, equipment and play that more affluent players experience.
  • We currently have a U11 team that is participating at the State Level and is undefeated! This means they are beating teams from these more expensive clubs - just goes to show you don't need thousands of dollars to play this game successfully!
  • We have a specific focus on inclusion which is why 98% of our players are from communities of color and we are the first youth soccer club in Oregon to have an open acceptance policy of LGBTQ+ players, familes, coaches and volunteers.
