The Night for the Natives fundraiser concert benefits the Native American Journalists Association (NAJA), a nonprofit organization representing more than 500 journalists. The event is organized by current board member and finance committee member Ramona Marozas. Marozas works as a journalist at CBS 3 Duluth as a TV Producer, crime beat reporter, and also cover tribal government and is a lifetime NAJA member.

The two-day event will be held July 14-15 at two locations in Duluth, Minnesota. See the schedule below for artists, bands and dancers performing during the festival:

SCHEDULE for July 14th event at Pizza Luce in Duluth:

9:30 p.m.: Reggie George (Native Vet of the Yakama Nation coming from Washington, and NAJA member.)

10 p.m.: Oshki Ciizhik Singers (They sing/drum to empower Anishinaabe women to use their voice in a good way.)

10:30 p.m.: Larry Yazzie of Native Pride Dancers (An internationally known high-energy show featuring an innovative blend of modern and traditional Native American dance/music)

11 p.m. - Superior Siren (A haunting voice accompanied by a mesmerizing blend of strings and percussion. The sound evolves from alluring swells of sombre melodies to fierce waves of ominous storms.)

11:30 p.m.: The Brothers Burn Mountain (A soulful, energetic, eclectic duo of real-life brothers, Ryan and Jesse Dermody. They've been playing music together everyday as a duo for the past 15 years.)

Midnight: **HEADLINER** Black-Eyed Snakes (A genre-bending electric blues band from Duluth.)

SCHEDULE for July 15th event at the Red Herring Lounge in Duluth:

5:30 p.m.: Tales of Laughing Fox (A Red Cliff flute player who spends time making and playing Native American traditional flute. He uses the traditional wisdom of the Anishinaabe people in the most respectful of ways.)

6 p.m. - Oshki Ciizhik Singers

6:30 p.m. - Larry Yazzie of Native Pride Dancers

7:30 p.m. – Rick McLean (Folk, RockNRoll, Outlaw Country, Paddy Punk, Blues)

8:30 p.m. - Ann Kathryn (Singer-Songwriter from Duluth)

9:30 p.m. - Ingeborg Von Agassiz (Electronic-Folk-Singer-Songwriter-Artist)

10:30 p.m. - **HEADLINER** - Corey Medina & Brothers (Blues-Rock band based in Minnesota led by Corey Medina from the Navajo Nation)

11:30 p.m. - Jamie Ness of The Boomchucks (a well established musician in Duluth who plays solo and in a Rock and Roll band) with Jim Hall (Native singer-songwriter from Duluth)

12:30 a.m. - Old Desert Road (Indie/Folk-Rock band out of the Twin Cities whose violinist is Native.)

8 p.m. - Midnight - Alex LeBlanc of The Crunchy Bunch DJ'ing the basement - (LeBlanc is a member of the DJ/producer collective among friends and music lovers that originates from late 2009. )
