Are you a tech leader at your school? Do you want to be more than just "tech support"? Join Edmodo and friends for A Night at The Field Museum with interactive learning and networking! Find out how to lead tech adoption at your school and get some PD hours while you’re at it. After the workshop concludes, relax with drinks and explore the museum!

Workshop Schedule (all times in Central Daylight Time):

5:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Keynote by Professor Stan Silverman
5:30 PM – 6:15 PM: Panel Discussion with Tech Coaches
6:15 PM – 7:30 PM: Workshop on Providing Feedback That Makes A Difference
7:30 PM – 9:30 PM: Refreshments and free access to The Field Museum’s Ancient Egypt exhibit


Please note that the museum entrance for in-person guests will be the West Door.

Keynote Speaker: Stan Silverman

For over 30 years, Stan Silverman has been working at the intersection of technology and education. He specializes in the application of instructional technologies to enhance teaching and learning in K-12 settings. As Chair of the New York State Teacher Center Technology Committee and Director of Technology Based Learning Systems, he has been a key figure in the evolution of instructional technology throughout New York state and nationally.

Panel Discussion with Tech Coaches

Tech Coaches Kara McFarlin, Chris Bohula, Ramona Towner, and Erica Holton share their experiences in coaching teachers on the effective use of technology in the classroom. Learn how to expand your skill set from simply support to the application of tech on student learning through high-impact, valuable methods.

Workshop on Providing Feedback That Makes A Difference: Guidance for Instructional Coaches

Whether you’re a tech coach or a classroom teacher, learn about different coaching models and how to give feedback that instructs, corrects, and motivates. During this hands-on workshop led by Capella University and Aulander Skinner, Instructional Tech Coach at Denbigh High School, you’ll practice giving useful, constructive feedback with peers and learn about the right tools for the job. You’ll earn 2 clock hour credits of PD too!
