Description

Ofcom are now empowered to impose regulations to create more children's content on the commercial public service channels - ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5. How they do that, and just how far this new regulation will go, will be the subject of an Ofcom consultation to be announced shortly. This is a critical moment in the devleopment of chidlren's media in the UK. The new regulatory position could have lasting affects on the commissioning of content in the UK for British klids.

Come and hear reaction from the production sector, broadcasters, and the audience - and have your say. This is your chance to contribute to this vitally important comsultaion.

Ofcom and supporters of the House of Lords Amendment will also be invited, along with media industry organisations.

Doors open at 5.30pm.

The event will end with a short drinks reception from 8 - 8.30 pm.
